Meet Christopher
Your Hometown Candidate for State Court Judge
Christopher Bishop is a lifelong resident of Cherokee County. As a 6th-generation member of this community, his family and professional career have been influenced and nurtured by this great County. After graduating from Cherokee High School, he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance at the University of Georgia in Athens. Bishop then went on to pursue his Juris Doctorate Degree and began his law practice in his hometown in 2005.
From an early age, Bishop understood the importance of civic engagement and community service, a commitment inherited from his Grandfather’s dedication to “community above self” as Mayor of the City of Canton. His father, Barry Bishop, has also lived and maintained his legal firm in Cherokee County his entire life. These influences have shaped the strong core values Bishop maintains for his community.
From his father’s 50 years of law practice to Bishop’s own years of advocacy, his service and dedication to the pursuit of Justice are deeply entrenched. The limitless days and cases he has handled in the Cherokee County Justice System have provided him with extensive knowledge of the inner workings of State Court. His perspective allows him to serve as a fair, unbiased referee in the courtroom, ensuring that all citizens’ rights are protected.

Why Christopher Bishop is Running for State Court Judge
Christopher Bishop is running for State Court Judge in Cherokee County to bring progress, efficiency, and accountability to the court system. After witnessing the impact of COVID on court operations, he recognized the need to streamline case management, so individuals don’t lose an entire day of work attending court. He believes the system can operate more efficiently with modern technology, such as Zoom and digital case tracking, without compromising justice.
